Formerly known as The Hungry Eye, Tempered Steel is the official website for Colorado State University - Pueblo's Literary Magazine. Housed in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, we sponsor literary events, workshops, open mic readings, and publish an annual literary magazine every spring.
Run by a handful of dedicated students with the help of Faculty Sponsors, Tempered Steel's mission is to create a literary presence and awareness on the Colorado State University - Pueblo campus and within the Pueblo community. We strive to publish quality poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction by CSU-Pueblo students and give our readers a satisfying read.
